WHO WE ARE
IMPACTDC is a coalition of youth leading our peers and serving our community by making impact in the lives of the hungry, hurting and homeless. We are a youth led and governed membership-based group of high school and college-aged students who convene monthly to provide service opportunities their peers can partake in to make impact in the community.
Membership is open to any student currently in high school or college. The age range for membership is 14 and 22. We are a ministry of Central Union Mission. Members of IMPACTDC serve on an advisory council and works in coordination with the senior leadership and board of directors of Central Union Mission. High school students get credit toward their volunteer hours requirements for graduation.

We provide high school and college aged youth with opportunities to serve, build character, and develop leadership skills while making impact in the lives of people suffering from issues related to homelessness and poverty in our community. We support the efforts of Central Union Mission by supporting the work done in their Emergency Shelter, Comprehensive Family Ministry Center, Camp Bennet, Administrative Office and transitional home, Lambert House.
WE ARE VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON
IMPACTDC members are virtual and in-person! Highschool and college aged students can participate in projects in person and virtually. You can get you school, church or civic organization involved as we strive to make impact where we live.
WE LEARN BY DOING
IMPACTDC members learn and develop valuable leadership and organization skills by performing acts of service in their communities by serving meals, making beds at the shelter, cleaning up campgrounds, and distributing groceries to unhoused neighbors and people living in poverty. They also learn by serving as youth advisory council to the senior leadership of Central Union Mission, rallying their peers and community, planning projects, running meetings and making impact through leadership and service.
WE DEVELOP LEADERS
